Chelsea has always loved animals due to her upbringing on a farm in her father’s home country of Honduras. Her love for training dogs began when she started working at a dog kennel in 2017. Chelsea chased that passion by volunteering at St Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ. Chelsea attended their CATCH Dog training and behavior workshops under David Muriello, the founder of the CATCH Program. The workshop focused on canine body language, behavior, and problem-solving skills. After attending this program, it solidified her love for training, and she knew this career path was meant for her. Soon after, she obtained her CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed) certification in 2020. Currently, Chelsea is studying for her CBCC-KA (Certified Professional Consultant Canine – Knowledge Assessed) and she plans on earning that title by the end of the year. Upon that, she continues to pursue further education in order to stay up to date on the latest science-based training methods. Chelsea focuses on positive reinforcement-based training using a wide variety of rewards tailored to your individual dog’s needs.
Chelsea has a passion for the arts and likes to draw in her free time; this creativity bleeds into her training plans to ensure that every session is engaging and informative. As an animal lover, Chelsea looks forward to owning a large farm with a whole host of animals one day. Until then, she loves living through the relationships she fosters between those she trains and their families. To have lifelong, enriching experiences between you and your pup, Chelsea cannot stress enough the importance of building a positive relationship based on mutual understanding and respect.
